Laue Festgarderobe offers thousands of evening and wedding dresses, as well as men’s suits for various occasions on 4,000 m². The company from Schleswig-Holstein, Germany is particularly concerned about sustainability and resource conservation. This was also the motivation to participate in the Planet Sustainability event initiated by vilisto in November 2020 in order to elicit further climate protection measures.

Result

In the meantime, the company is pursuing a comprehensive sustainability concept consisting of numerous measures to reduce and compensate for CO² emissions. For example, a PV system has been in place for about a year, which supplies the four free e-charging stations for customers, a meadow orchard has been planted and a forest plantation is already being planned behind the store. The use of the PV system alone has already saved around 50 tons of CO². In addition, with the installation of 75 digital vilisto radiator thermostats in June 2021, the company has already taken precautions to save further tons of CO² from the coming heating period. To this end, the sales and office areas will be heated automatically and in line with demand thanks to our intelligent individual room control system. “We are very pleased to be working with such a committed company – climate protection is written in capital letters here and tackled courageously,” says Vivien Eggers, project manager for heat management at vilisto.
