Under the motto “Inspiring Ways of Living,” the Etex Group is a global pioneer in lightweight construction, enabling the creation of safe, sustainable, smart, and beautiful buildings. In total, Etex employs more than 13,500 people in 45 countries. Since 1981, the German company Promat—a pioneer in structural fire protection for buildings—has been part of the Etex Group. The division’s headquarters are located in Ratingen near Düsseldorf and employ approximately 550 people. In addition to eco-certified and environmentally friendly production, the company sought ways to further reduce its_{carbon footprint}. Following a promising savings analysis, vilisto’s digital heat management system was installed.

Measurements taken at the end of the first heating season using vilisto show that smart heating reduced energy consumption by 24.1 percent compared to previous years. Despite the existing nighttime temperature reduction, the demand for district heating was reduced by over 64,000 kilowatt-hours. As a result, Etex Building Performance GmbH emits 18 metric tons less greenhouse gases per year and saves 10,607 euros in energy costs. The investment in digital heating management will pay for itself in just over three years thanks to these cost savings.
