Our Application Process
It’s important to us that we get to know each other well during the application process. To ensure a successful long-term collaboration, we pay special attention to finding a good fit in terms of values and attitudes. That’s why at vilisto, you’ll go through a three-step process: A 10-minute introductory call with someone from the People & Culture team, a 30-minute meeting with the department—either in person or remotely—and finally, a shadowing session at our office. In some cases, we may ask you afterward to provide us with a reference.

How can I apply?
You can submit your application to us using our application form. You’ll find the form listed with the job openings on our careers page; it appears as soon as you click “I’m interested.”
If you submit your application by email, it may take longer to process, as we primarily focus on our recruiting tool.
Are you still accepting applications for the positions listed on the website?
Yes, all the positions listed on the website are still open.
When can I expect to hear back after I submit my application?
To keep the process as short as possible, we’ll try to respond to your application as soon as possible. It usually takes us no more than one week to do so.
What documents do you need from me?
When you apply, we only need your resume at first. Once the contract is signed, we’ll also need your diplomas. It’s up to you whether you write a cover letter and send us your employment references.
Who should I contact if I have any questions?

When do you plan to fill the position?
As soon as a position is posted on our job portal, we can fill it even on short notice. It’s very important to us to find the right people for the positions and for our team, which is why we’re patient even when notice periods are longer.
Can I withdraw my application?
You can withdraw your application at any time, thereby ending the application process on your end. To do so, please send us an email at jobs@vilisto.de stating that you are withdrawing your application.
Are there any application deadlines I need to follow?
No, we don’t have application deadlines. As long as the job posting is on our website, the position is still open and you can apply.
Is there a dress code?
We don’t have a dress code, either in the office or during the application process. It’s important to us that you feel comfortable, and the best way to do that is to be yourself.
What happens to my information after I submit my application?
If you are not hired, your data will be automatically deleted after 3 months in accordance with the GDPR.
Who has access to my data?
The People & Culture team—specifically our recruiter Anne—will have access to your application. In addition, your resume and all relevant professional documents will be forwarded to the appropriate person in the department.
Can I prepare for the interview(s)?
The main purpose of these conversations is to allow both sides to form an authentic first impression and for us to get to know each other better—both on a personal and professional level. For us, you—as a person, with your values, motivation, and skills—are our top priority.
During the first interview, we’ll focus primarily on the general details. For example, we’d like to know when you can start with us, what motivates you, and what your salary expectations are. In the subsequent stages, representatives from the relevant department will join our recruiters. Among other things, we’ll try to determine whether we’re a good professional fit. While we’ll discuss the required technical knowledge with you during the 30-minute interview, we’ll then offer you a realistic glimpse into the job during the job shadowing session. Through 2–3 small tasks, we’ll get a sense of your work style, and you’ll gain insight into your future day-to-day work.

Can I apply for more than one position?
Yes, you can either use the application form for the respective position or let us know in a brief note in your application which other position you’d like us to consider you for as well.
What if none of the positions are a good fit for me, but I’d still like to work with you?
You can submit a speculative application using our application form. In that case, please include a brief cover letter explaining in which area you would like to apply your strengths at vilisto and which tasks interest you most.
To whom should I address my application?
You are completely free to choose whom to address your application to, and this will not be taken into account in the selection process. Applicants often address their applications to Lutz and Anne as recruiters, the People & Culture team, or the entire vilisto team.
