The town of Pockau-Lengefeld is located in the heart of the Ore Mountains in Saxony and has set itself the goal of making its existing buildings as energy-efficient and climate-friendly as possible. Equipping them with intelligent thermostats from vilisto should bring them closer to this goal and a suitable building was quickly found in the town hall. The special challenge: for the first time, underfloor heating controlled by thermostats was installed. Underfloor systems are characterized by a certain inertia, but this was counteracted with the help of longer preheating times so that the energy-saving solution worked perfectly.
The evaluation at the end of the heating period shows that, despite the existing, very well adjusted night setback, further savings of 20.9% were achieved in the town hall thanks to the intelligent individual room control system from vilisto. The next step will be to analyze and equip the city’s other buildings with regard to their savings potential.

With the self-learning thermostats, we have been able to achieve further savings for our household and our carbon footprint despite our well-adjusted night setback.
