Thermostats
Underfloor convectors
Project
Due to grilles above the underfloor convectors, the radiators in the university building are difficult to regulate manually. The solution: self-learning thermostats from vilisto! They preheat in the morning and lower the temperature fully automatically as soon as no more heat is needed. The thermostats used to be set to level 5 all the time – now they only heat according to demand.

Savings
Result
In combination with the efficient concrete core activation, the energy consumption of the convectors of the equipped heating circuit (1st floor/1,623m²) could thus be reduced by 41.3% – despite the existing night setback.
Based on this excellent result and the highly professional cooperation with vilisto, the Goethe University will take the next step to fully equip the building. In the long term, the entire campus will be intelligently heated with the self-learning thermostats.

What our customers say:
The vilisto presence detection works optimally despite the special installation situation of our radiators. The underfloor convectors are recessed in the floor and partially blocked – no problem thanks to vilisto’s 3-sensor technology. In combination with the concrete core activation, we thus save over 40% energy.
Our success stories
Our digital heat management is already active in a large number of properties. As you are reading this, it is also saving heating costs and CO2 emissions.
