After the municipal trade magazine “der gemeinderat” reported on vilisto at the end of 2020, the municipality of Weissach contacted us. An analysis regarding savings potential, climate protection contribution and amortisation identified four suitable buildings for initial fitting with our intelligent thermostats and project planning was set in motion. In the process, the federal subsidy for efficient buildings (BEG) was claimed, which was quick and uncomplicated due to the established process by vilisto. Since then, the rooms of the town hall, as well as one school and two kindergartens, with a total of 222 thermostats have been heated demand based – i.e. only when people are present.

Result

After the end of the heating period, the success of the project was measured. The kindergarten in Brunnenstraße, for which the municipality provided historical heating data, was used as a reference. The result: around 24% heating energy and Co2 emissions were saved. In this way, the municipality prepared itself early on for rising energy prices and took a decisive step towards climate neutrality. Subsequently, the remaining buildings of the municipality were also examined in order to equip all suitable properties with the intelligent technology of vilisto.
