Project
After the municipal trade magazine “der gemeinderat” reported on vilisto at the end of 2020, the municipality of Weissach contacted us. A non-binding analysis regarding savings potential, climate protection contribution and amortization identified four suitable buildings for an initial installation of our smart thermostats and the project planning was initiated. The federal funding for efficient buildings was utilized, which was possible quickly and easily thanks to the established process through vilisto. Since then, the rooms of the town hall, as well as a school and two kindergartens, have been heated with 222 thermostats according to demand – i.e. only when people are present.
The success of the project was measured at the end of the heating period. The kindergarten in Brunnenstrasse, for which the municipality provided historical heating data, was used as a reference. The result: around 24% heating energy and CO2 emissions were saved. In this way, the municipality prepared for rising energy prices at an early stage and took a decisive step towards climate neutrality. Subsequently, the remaining buildings in the municipality were also examined in order to equip all suitable properties with the intelligent technology from vilisto.

With vilisto, we have achieved good savings for climate protection in our community with high economic efficiency.
