To improve energy efficiency in the buildings owned by S-Immobilienvermögen GmbH & CO. KG, management has turned to vilisto. In one of its leased office and administrative buildings in Sindelfingen, the management had 656 smart vilisto thermostats installed to use digital heating management to heat each room only as needed.

When the devices detect that a room is not in use, they automatically lower the room temperature. In the office building in Sindelfingen, built in 1987, this saves nearly 30 percent in energy compared to previous years when analog heating was used. The reduced energy consumption results in approximately 47 metric tons less CO2 emissions per year, and heating costs drop by nearly 23,000 euros—a benefit for both the landlord and the tenants. The investment in the technology pays for itself through these savings in just over three years.
